Assam government acquires Bhupen Hazarika's Kuthori house for museum preservation

To honor Bhupen Hazarika's legacy on his 100th birth anniversary, the Assam government has acquired his Kuthori house, where he penned iconic songs like 'Kaziranga.' Overcoming legal obstacles, the government paid ₹2.51 crore for the seven bighas of land, paving the way to transform the house into a museum. This cultural project will preserve Hazarika's memories and contributions.
